Once matched, mentors and mentees can create a timeline to meet virtually. The goal is to meet twice in the first month and then at least once a month for a total of 6 months. Surfaces in Biomaterials Foundation is recruiting those interested in serving as a mentor and mentoring incoming industry professionals (graduate students and young professionals). As a mentor, you will be matched with a mentee based on your shared interests, expertise, and goals. Your role is to:

• Offer guidance and support through regular communication.
• Share insights from your professional journey.
• Help your mentee navigate career decisions, skill-building opportunities, and professional networking.

We encourage a flexible approach to mentorship—there is no one-size-fits-all model. Whether it’s monthly Zoom check-ins, emails, or quick phone chats, your engagement will provide tremendous value to your mentee.
