BioInterface is a scientific symposium that explores creative solutions to technical challenges by fostering education and multidisciplinary cooperation among industrial, academic, clinical and regulatory communities with the latest innovations and best practices. Keynote Speaker

This year's keynote speaker is Daniel Ammon, PhD, Vice President of R&D at Regenity Biosciences in Paramus, NJ. Dr. Ammon will be presenting on Regenity’s biomaterial portfolio, including a new meniscus replacement device. He previously served as President of the Surfaces in Biomaterials Foundation from 2004-2005. His impressive track record of taking products from concept to launch includes dozens of medical devices in use today.

Excellence in Biomaterials Science Award

The winner of this year's Excellence in Biomaterials Science Award is Guillermo Ameer, PhD. Dr. Ameer is the Daniel Hale Williams professor of Biomedical Engineering and Surgery in the Biomedical Engineering Department at the McCormick School of Engineering and the Department of Surgery at the Feinberg School of Medicine, Northwestern University. He is the founding director of the Center for Advanced Regenerative Engineering (CARE) and director of the NIH-funded predoctoral Regenerative Engineering Training Program (RE-Training). His research interests include regenerative engineering, biomaterials, additive manufacturing for biomedical devices, controlled drug delivery and bio/nanotechnology for therapeutics and diagnostics.
