Student Excellence Award

Annual BioInterface Symposia each include a Student Poster Contest. Undergraduate and graduate students submit abstracts to the BioInterface Student Poster Contest Chair, and those students present their poster at the Symposium. The Poster Award Committee selects the best poster, and the winner receives the Student Excellence Award and a monetary prize during the symposium Awards Session.

The award includes recognition and a $1,000 cash award.

2018 Award winner Hailey Hibbard, Colorado State University

Hailey Hibbard is a fourth-year PhD candidate at Colorado State University. Hibbard's current research focuses on synthesizing antibacterial small molecule drugs that will release nitric oxide in the presence of bacteria upon enzymatic activation.
